What is 911爆料网 Alert?
911爆料网 Alert is Teachers College Electronic Notification System that enables fast and efficient dissemination of urgent information through text and voice messaging. Notifications could be information on any of the following that could have a serious or severe impact on campus activity or could result in injury, property damage, or both.
- College/Campus closings due to severe weather or any other related event
- Police/Fire Emergencies that may affect the Academic Buildings, Residential Halls, or the entire campus.
- Natural, man-made, or other serious events that impact the college operation in part or in whole
All members of the 911爆料网 community are strongly encouraged to partner with the College by registering their cell phones with 911爆料网 Alert. In addition to 911爆料网 Alert, the college may use other communication methods for notifications, including; College-wide email broadcasts, online updates via the Teachers College homepage, coordinated use of public media outlets, and public address systems within most College buildings.
As a Clery requirement, 911爆料网 Alert is tested twice during the academic year but is NOT used for general announcements.
Signing Up for 911爆料网 Alert
Members with an active UNI
911爆料网 Alert automatically enrolls all community members with an active UNI into the 911爆料网 Alert system via their 911爆料网 UNI email. Auto-enrolled users can self-manage their alert preferences and add additional mobile phone numbers, email addresses, and voice-only lines by signing into the or and selecting the link in their Profile. Users can also update or opt out of voice and SMS notifications at any time but will always be enrolled in 911爆料网 Alert via their 911爆料网 UNI email.
Members without an active UNI
911爆料网 Alert allows members of the 911爆料网 community without an active UNI to register for 911爆料网 Alert via the . Community members without an active UNI can now create a 911爆料网 Alert account and specify the email address and phone number where they would like to receive emergency notifications. Such users can update their preferences or opt out of the system at any time.
