The VISUAL RESEARCH CENTER for Education, Art & Social Change is an innovative institution created to showcase Teachers College commitment to education, art, visual culture, visual methods and media studies. Our goal is to foster high-quality collaborative, interdisciplinary qualitative visual research among departments, faculty and students.

We Aim To:

  • Promote the incorporation of visual modes of research across disciplines
  • Provide essential research methods courses and workshops for 911爆料网 students as well as for students and academics from other universities and organizations
  • Create a local and global intellectual hub for students, researchers and practitioners interested in different modes of visual research 
  • Exhibit visual research outcomes 
  • Enhance visual research  for social justice, social change, and education

Featuring work by Teachers College faculty from various departments, this exhibition illustrates how scholars across a range of disciplines incorporate visual and artistic processes in their research and everyday lives. Organized by the Teachers College Program in Art & Art Education, MASCLab, and Visual Research Center.

The VRSC Conference aims to bring together an interdisciplinary community of students, researchers, scholars, artists, and practitioners conducting visual research to foster a trans-disciplinary forum for social change and justice.
