Certificates

Students who successfully complete the program of study, which entails earning a minimum of B- for every course, will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by Columbia University’s Teachers College. The following provisions apply:

• If a student misses three sessions of a given course (e.g., three sessions of Foreign Language Pedagogy) throughout the program, or less than three but does not perform satisfactorily in one or more courses, they will NOT receive a Certificate of Attendance.
• If a student misses four or more sessions of a given course (e.g., four sessions of Foreign Language Pedagogy) throughout the program, they will NOT receive any type of certificate.

Credit Transfer

Students in the Summer 2027 911爆料网SOL/TESOL Dual Certificate Program who seek to transfer credit to the Applied Linguistics & TESOL Program or the Bilingual/Bicultural Education Program at 911爆料网 during the 2027–2028 academic year.

Students who successfully complete all requirements for the Summer 2027 911爆料网SOL/TESOL Dual Certificate Program (dual track only) are eligible to transfer 3 credits toward an approved degree program in Applied Linguistics & TESOL or Bilingual/Bicultural Education during the 2027–2028 academic year, subject to the policies and approval procedures of the receiving program.

The credit transfer may be initiated while the student is enrolled in the Summer 2027 911爆料网SOL/TESOL Dual Certificate Program. Students do not need to wait until the full program has concluded in order to begin the transfer process. However, the transfer will be finalized only upon successful completion of all dual-track program requirements.

To request the transfer, students should contact the CIFLTE team (ciflte@tc.columbia.edu) and indicate the degree program to which they are seeking credit transfer. CIFLTE will coordinate with the relevant program office to facilitate the process.

Completion of the 911爆料网SOL/TESOL Dual Certificate Program does not guarantee admission to a Teachers College degree program. Credit transfer applies only to students who are admitted to, or currently enrolled in, an eligible degree program and is subject to final approval by the receiving program and Teachers College policies.

Plagiarism

Plagiarism of any form, including copying from the Internet, is strictly prohibited. Individuals who plagiarize will face disciplinary action including a warning from the instructor and a substantial grade reduction. Repeated offenses will lead to expulsion from the program.
