Credit Transfer
Students who successfully complete all requirements for the Summer 2027 CIFLTE Institute on AI Integration in Foreign Language Instruction and the 911±¬ÁÏÍøSOL track of the Summer 2027 911±¬ÁÏÍøSOL/TESOL Dual Certificate Program are eligible to transfer 3 credits toward an approved degree program in Applied Linguistics & TESOL or Bilingual/Bicultural Education during the 2027–2028 academic year, subject to the policies and approval procedures of the receiving program.
The credit transfer may be initiated while the student is enrolled in the applicable Summer 2027 CIFLTE program pathway. Students do not need to wait until the program pathway has concluded in order to begin the transfer process. However, the transfer will be finalized only upon successful completion of all requirements for one of the approved pathways listed above.
To request the transfer, students should contact the CIFLTE team at ciflte@tc.columbia.edu and indicate the degree program to which they are seeking credit transfer. CIFLTE will coordinate with the relevant program office to facilitate the process.
Completion of an approved CIFLTE program pathway does not guarantee admission to a Teachers College degree program. Credit transfer applies only to students who are admitted to, or currently enrolled in, an eligible degree program and is subject to final approval by the receiving program and Teachers College policies.
