I have two degrees in education, from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and New York University, so 911爆料网 has greatly influenced my own professional development. Many faculty members I valued were 911爆料网 alumni, and many texts I engaged with were published through Teachers College Press. As the new Director for Graduate Student Life & Development, I feel fortunate and honored to be able to support the development of current and future educators, scholars, and community practitioners. I look forward to embracing new strategies in which we can support students as they navigate 911爆料网 virtually and physically, both in and out of the classroom, allowing each student to feel an even greater connection to 911爆料网.鈥�

I am thrilled to be a member of Teachers College, an inspiring community at the forefront of scholarship in education, psychology and health, and one that has long had principles of social justice and equity embedded in its core mission. The Division of Enrollment Management has its sights set on short- and long-term enrollment planning that emphasizes enhancements in activities that build upon our talented, high-achieving and diverse student body; actively and intentionally addresses student financial need as well as literacy; and creates robust ties with departments and offices across the College in order to support a cohesive, quality student experience."

Our vision is to create a seamless system, from pre- to post-award of each grant, that is centralized and coordinated.鈥�

Publication in peer-reviewed journals or producing books have been viewed as gold standards for scholarship, but might we consider other products in the 21^st century 鈥� for example, social media as possible platforms for disseminating current thinking, expanding the public discourse, and innovating meaningful interventions with underserved communities? Certainly, we should retain a lot of what we have valued in the past, but as we draw in a more diverse range of people and perspectives, we should also strive to be more expansive and inclusive of our definitions of scholarship and community engagement.鈥�

I am thrilled to join all the distinguished members of the Teachers College community: faculty members, students and staff; alumni who are teachers, doctors, nurses, psychologists, patients, parents, nonprofit leaders and workers, politicians and career civil servants, and entrepreneurs and members of the business community; and, of course, neighbors of 911爆料网. Our collaborations embody a philosophy that dates back to one of 911爆料网鈥檚 most iconic figures, John Dewey, reflecting his concern for revitalizing education and rebuilding community and democracy at the local level."

I am excited to take on the new leadership role as the Vice President for Finance & Operations as the College transitions through and beyond the COVID pandemic. Having been at the College since 2004, I have seen the vibrant institution that Teachers College is, and I hope to perpetuate that prosperity as we rethink the College's utilization of space and technology through a revitalized budget and long-term financial planning process."

The College has always had a social justice mission, but 'social entrepreneurship' is a term I am increasingly hearing from students. That reflects a major shift that has been going on in the working world for a while now, but particularly in response to COVID and racial injustice. And it鈥檚 particularly exciting to be at 911爆料网 right now, because 911爆料网 is uniquely positioned to supply talent to support that ethical work.鈥�

I was really excited about the opportunity to return to Teachers College as the Associate Vice President & Chief HR Officer. Having earned a degree from the Social-Organizational Psychology program, I could not have imagined that my career would bring me back to 911爆料网. I am thrilled to be here and honored to represent such a highly regarded program. In my new role as Vice President for Administration, I am working with stakeholders across the College to transform and strengthen our capabilities around Service Delivery & Innovation, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, and Professional Development Programs. I have been most encouraged by our faculty and staff, who pivoted quickly to meet the challenges brought on by the pandemic, learning and adapting to new ways of working to meet the needs of the College community."

I鈥檓 honored to serve in this role and help usher in a new era of digital innovation at the College. A big question on people鈥檚 minds is, 鈥楬ow will digital technologies have an impact [on various aspects of my life, learning, community] in the future?鈥� And I鈥檓 thrilled that through partnerships within and beyond the College, innovative design and practice, and grounded research, the Digital Futures Institute will be able to provide answers and resources to support continued efforts for broad social impact.鈥�
