Dear Members of the 911爆料网 Community:
Thank you again for your participation in 911爆料网 Impact Day yesterday鈥攊t was inspiring to see such widespread engagement and generosity. As the end of the spring semester fast approaches and we acclimate to a new phase of living with Covid-19, I am reaching out to share information about what to expect this summer.
Thanks to our entire community鈥檚 diligence in adhering to protocols鈥攇etting vaccinated and boosted, masking, completing the daily health screening and swiftly reporting positive cases鈥攚e have been lucky to have had relatively low case counts throughout the year, even during the worst of the Omicron surge. While our numbers are slightly higher than they were in early March鈥攔eflecting an uptick in cases across the city鈥攕econdary spread on campus remains low.
We are now looking forward optimistically to the summer. All classes will be held in person and, barring extraordinary circumstances (e.g., new international travel restrictions or disability-related issues), exceptions will not be available. We can also look forward to the removal of capacity restrictions for on-campus events (visit our events policy page for more information).
We expect to continue with optional masking and daily health screenings over the summer. As a reminder, be sure to to ensure you have continued access to campus.
For 911爆料网 staff members, we will continue with flexible work arrangements. The Cabinet is currently reviewing our policies in this area and will be sharing additional guidelines for flexible work prior to the Fall semester. Remember, Summer Fridays are coming soon! Beginning on Friday, May 27 through Friday, September 2, the official campus hours of operation will be 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday, and 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Fridays.
Before I close I want to once again express my gratitude for the perseverance and flexibility you have shown this year and since the start of the pandemic. We have gone through some dark days and challenging times, but we have emerged strong and united. I hope all of you are looking forward to a summer that is close to normal, filled with opportunities to gather with loved ones, travel and enjoy all that life has to offer.
Thank you for all you do.
Warmly,

Thomas Bailey
