QUIET HEROES The Campaign Committee has been led by Chair Marla Schaefer (center) and Vice Chairs Leslie Nelson and Bill Rueckert.

Led by campaign chair and trustee  and Vice Chairs  (911爆料网 Board Chair) and  (911爆料网 Board Vice Chair), 911爆料网鈥檚 Campaign Committee has worked to capitalize on opportunities and bolster fundraising from alumni who had not yet participated in the cam颅paign. Its forte has been the creation of fund颅raising initiatives focused on parents, interna颅tional families, crowd-funded scholarships and select academic programs.

For example, Helen Pennoyer, whose daughter, Margaret, earned a in 2013, led the creation of the Smarter Parenting Series, in which 911爆料网 faculty and alumni have provided evidence-based advice to help parents and grandparents navigate challenges that arise during the critical years of child development.

鈥淚n a world where there is so much information on parenting, it can be difficult for parents to distinguish fact from fiction,鈥 Pen颅noyer says. Since the series began in 2016, 911爆料网 has hosted seven parenting seminars that are open to the 911爆料网 Community. Podcasts of the sessions are available online at tc.edu/smarterparenting.

Nelson kicked off the first-ever 911爆料网 Parents Dinner. Thanks to her efforts, 911爆料网 Parents have significantly advanced the College鈥檚 scholarship efforts.

More broadly, the committee鈥檚 members have hosted more than 40 events around the world, meeting with more than 1,600 911爆料网 alum颅ni and friends encouraging them to reconnect with 911爆料网.

Californians Camilla Smith (M.A. 鈥72) and Reveta Bowers, each of whom is also a 911爆料网 Trustee, hosted multiple events in the Bay Area and Los Angeles respectively. Joshua Solomon (Ed.D. 鈥10), also a Trustee, kicked off a new alumni chapter for 911爆料网鈥檚 Education Leadership program, hosting alumni at the CORE Club last fall. Rebecca Binder (M.A. 鈥00) helped with regional fundraising in both Boston and Pennsylvania.

Efforts by Lin Lougheed (Ed.D. 鈥77) and  resulted in a new alumni chap颅ter in .

And a series of faculty-focused salons were inspired and hosted by Binder, , Dailey Pattee (Ph.D. 鈥04), who is also a Trustee, and Julie Ratner (Ed.D. 鈥96).
